It is literally a mess: the facade of a Chinese restaurant on the Dorpsstraat in Broek op Langedijk came down this morning around 5.00 am. Everyone is busy cleaning up, and tonight the restaurant can open again ‘just’.
The facade lies in ruins in the middle of the Dorpsstraat, which has therefore been partially closed off. “Those girls woke up around 5 a.m.,” says the co-owner of the restaurant on the phone. Everyone is busy cleaning up, you can hear that in the background. “It was so windy and we were all shocked,” she says.

It is the facade of the side of the restaurant, says the co-owner. “We can open tonight, because it is on the side. We are now cleaning up very hard, the window above also needs to be made and the street still needs to be cleaned.” She expects to spend the rest of the afternoon working on the damage.
