Fabio Jakobsen wins 2nd stage of Baloise Belgium Tour in Knokke-Heist

After 175.5 kilometers between Merelbeke and Knokke-Heist, Jakobsen left his compatriot Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) behind in a sprint on the Wandelaar. Jasper De Buyst (Lotto Dstny) was third.

Jakobsen also takes over the leader’s jersey from our compatriot Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck), who crashed 4.1 kilometers from the finish. In the standings he is in the same time as Van der Poel, but as stage winner the leader’s jersey is for Jakobsen. De Buyst follows at seven seconds. The individual time trial is scheduled for Friday in Beveren.
