“One year more Sancho!”: Fabio Di Michele Sánchez is on for another year Eintracht Braunschweig bound. The left-back’s contract with BTSV, which expires at the end of the season, was automatically extended until June 30, 2027 due to his appearance against FC Schalke 04 on Sunday (2-1). The club announced this on Monday afternoon.
“Fabio has developed well since his move in the summer of 2024 and quickly got used to the 2nd Bundesliga,” says sports director Benjamin Kessel about the personnel. “We see further development potential in Fabio and are pleased that there is already clarity and that we will continue to support his path beyond the summer.”
The 22-year-old provided a highlight moment this season with his brace in the first round of the DFB Cup against VfB Stuttgart. Since moving from 1. FC Saarbrücken to Eintracht, he has played a total of 47 competitive games for BTSV. He scored four goals and prepared two more goals.
In the current season he has played 16 games (two goals). His market value is estimated by the data portal “transfermarkt.de” at 1.2 million euros. “We look forward to even more action from you with the red lion on your chest,” writes the club in a compilation of highlights on Instagram. The professional himself also has his say. “I’m looking forward to continuing to be a lion,” he says.
