The future of Fabian Reese was open for a long time. Now she seems to be resolved. The star of the 2nd Bundesliga apparently keeps loyalty to Hertha BSC.

There is an impressive playing time behind Fabian Reese. If the star player of Hertha BSC was still for months at the beginning of the season, he swung himself up for his team after his return to the decisive factor. Reese has been in the 2nd Bundesliga since mid -February. The fact that Hertha BSC is heading for a conciliatory end of the season on Sunday before the last game of the season against Hannover 96 (from 3:30 p.m. in the live ticker at T-Online) is primarily due to the 27-year-old.

Its future has been part of speculation in the past few months. Reeses performance has not been hidden. A departure this summer, possibly to the Bundesliga, seemed to be an extremely likely option until the end. But apparently it will not happen.

As the “picture” reports, Reese Hertha BSC will not only be preserved. At the capital club, the attacker apparently also signs a new contract that should have it all. Accordingly, Reese will bind to the Berliners for another five years, i.e. by 2030 – and will earn 150,000 euros a month in the future. That would be 1.8 million euros for one year. A top content for a professional from the 2nd Bundesliga.

According to the report, Reese is said to have signed his signature under the new working paper by Sunday. His current contract would have run by 2028.

Several offers from other clubs are said to have made Reese, including some from the Bundesliga. Most recently, the Turkish top club Beşiktaş Istanbul tried to do it. The responsible persons had said to have even visited Reese in Berlin. He could have earned two million euros net per year. But Reese seems to have decided differently.

In Berlin, the ex-Schalker has risen to the cult figure within two years, is an absolute crowd on Hertha BSC. Reese was switched from Kiel to the “old lady” in 2023. Now he is likely to target the promotion in the coming season with the club.

Hertha BSC had recently set a clear sign of his own ambitions with the contract extension of service provider Michaël Cuisance. Defense chief Toni Leistner also signed a new contract in Berlin.
