Since the previous Formula 1 Vantage Safety Car had been rejected by reigning champion Max Verstappen who considered it slow like a turtle, Aston Martin have addressed the lack of pace with the new Vantage F1 model which has seen a huge increase with a power of 153 HP for a total available total of 656 HP.

IT GOES TOGETHER WITH THE MEDICAL CAR

It will be seen in action later this week at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, where it will be joined by the Dbx707 F1 Medical Car. Compared to the production model, the recently introduced road-going Vantage, the F1 version has a front splitter and a huge rear wing. Details that are part of an aerodynamic kit that also includes a modified underfloor to ensure better air flow.

INTERIOR SPECIFIC FOR F1

Interestingly, the roof-mounted light bar has also been reshaped for better aerodynamics. Moving on to the interior, the cabin has undergone much more than a few changes. For example, in fact, the standard seats have given way to Recaro Pole Position bucket seats with a racing harness solution for the driver who is Bernd Mayländer and also for the passenger next to him.

TWO SCREENS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE

Aston Martin then modified the center console to accommodate a myriad of dial buttons linked to the obligatory FIA systems. There are also a couple of screens placed on the passenger side that show where the cars are positioned on the track, together with the lap times of course in real time and what is covered by the reversing camera. In short, nothing was left to chance.

ASTON MARTIN AND MERCEDES

The Lime Essence trim used in the cabin is a detail that is exclusive to the Vantage F1 Safety Car, but also references Aston Martin’s striking livery in Racing Green. From 2021, Aston Martin and Mercedes share, from time to time, the tasks attributed to the F1 Safety Car, with the Stuttgart brand providing its top version in this regard also in terms of absolute power, the Amg GT Black Series.

the most powerful is the amg

Although the new Vantage, as mentioned, is more powerful than before, the German supercar still has the advantage as it develops well 720 HP of power. In addition to having the same role, the two cars have a lot in common as the Vantage uses an AMG-sourced 4.0 cc twin-turbo V8. The other F1 branded Mercedes model is the Amg GT 63 S Coupé 4-door Medical Car, alternating with the Dbx707.
