Meta company’s services on Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp have experienced extensive disruptions on Wednesday evening.
The Downdetector service, which monitors the functionality of online services, showed a big spike for all three. At around 20:20 in the evening, more than 1,000 and more than 1,500 trouble reports had been filed on Facebook. There were about 400 notifications from Whatsapp.
Moni also reported the disturbance they had noticed in the messaging application X. Based on the messages, the problems seem global.
For some users, however, the services work normally.
