An explosion occurred at Strating Caravans on the Weg der United Nations in Zuidbroek on Monday around 8:45 p.m.
“There was an explosion. The question is what caused it,” says police spokesperson Tessel Horsman. “That could be heavy fireworks. We are currently conducting a trace investigation.”
No one was injured in the explosion, according to the spokesperson. There is, however, damage to the building.
The fire brigade did not have to take action. “We did another check with the thermal imaging camera, but were unable to find anything,” says fire brigade spokesman Geert Walburg.
The street is closed off. The owners went inside with the police. Employees, who are sheltering outside under the hatch of a company van, do not want to say anything.
