Exclusive trailer premiere of Chris Kraus’ new film

The 2007 work “Four Minutes” remained in memory as a prison drama in which the pianist Jenny von Loeben is initially celebrated as a musical prodigy, but then has to be behind bars for fifteen years because of a murder that she did not commit. The continuation of the story will be in cinemas on January 11, 2024 and we can exclusively see the first trailer for “15 Years” with Hannah Herzsprung in the leading role.

The press release for the film and its protagonist Jenny von Loeben says: “As she seeks support in the Christian faith after her release from prison, she learns that her childhood sweetheart, once responsible for her martyrdom, has become an internationally celebrated star under the stage name Gimmiemore has become. The overwhelming need for revenge jeopardizes her fragile agreement with God and her relationship with a Syrian musician who shows Jenny genuine care and trust. In a cynical TV talent show, she provokes a reunion with her former tormentor and lover and an intimate duel of life and death ensues. Through the radically subjective view of the main character, “15 Years” asks questions about the values ​​that have existential significance for us in conflict with the world, even in the 21st century: How far can a person go in their desire for revenge when injustice happens to them is? And what happens if this person is an affect-driven musician?”

Chris Kraus (“Four Minutes”, “Poll”) has once again directed and written the screenplay. The score comes from composer Annette Focks. The singer-songwriter Max Prosa composed the German-language songs. Also appearing in the film are: Hassan Akkouch (“4 Blocks”), Albrecht Schuch (“Dear Thomas”), Christian Friedel (“Babylon Berlin”), Adele Neuhauser (“Tatort”), Stefanie Reinsperger (“Tatort”), Katharina Schüttler (“The Future is a Lonely Place”) as well as Désirée Nosbusch (“Bad Banks”) and Samuel Koch (“Vienna Blood”).
