PSV already visited FC Twente on Thursday evening within a minute, but eventually achieved a 1-3 victory. A very deserved three -point, because the people of Eindhoven were far too strong for the team from Enschede. PSV does good business in the battle for second place due to the win, but there is also secretly hope for the title. With four games to go, the gap with Ajax is six points and so a miracle will be needed.
PSV started dramatically at the game in the Grolsch Veste. Right back Richard Ledezma went wrong and finally benefited Ricky van Wolfswinkel from: 1-0 after 56 seconds. It didn’t take a long time before the people of Eindhoven arrived at the same level. Guus Til, basically as a replacement for Malik Tillman, who was too late, reached Ivan Perišic and De Kroaat was beautifully achieved: 1-1.
PSV was then very close to the 1-2. Ismael Saibari’s shot was changed direction and seemed to fall in, but goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall was just able to save. The VAR had to judge the situation, because it concerned centimeter or even millimeter work.

It was then waiting for PSV’s lead. The team of coach Peter Bosz frequently searched the attack, but had difficulty finding the hole in the Twente defense. Just before half -time, Unnerstall got away well when an attack over the left flank eventually ended up on the leg of a fellow player on his own pole. Shortly thereafter, left back Mauro Júnior, who extended his contract last week until mid -2029, shot hard through the fingertips of the German goalkeeper.
Fast
The excellent first half immediately received a follow -up after changing the half of the play. In the 53rd minute, the important Perišic gave Guus Til a head opportunity with a great pass and the midfielder knew what to do with it: 1-2. Four minutes later, the third Eindhoven goal fell. Via Til the ball came to Noa Lang, who retained the overview and served Luuk de Jong: 1-3.

PSV continued to attack, while FC Twente tried to keep the damage as limited as possible. A disappointment for Bosz was the failure of Saibari. With a shot attempt, his ankle clapped and the Moroccan international had to leave the field with a lot of pain. Tillman came in the field for him. In the end of the competition, the 1-4 hung in the air, while with the home team substitute Lucas Vennegoor or Hesselink, son of former PSV striker Jan, was close to the connection goal. However, there were no longer any goals.
