The former professional soccer player reveals Lamisha with several emotional posts on Instagram Musonda that he is doomed to die. Several companions then get in touch.

Lamisha Musonda was once considered a great talent. In 2012, the then Belgian U21 international moved from RSC Anderlecht to Chelsea together with his brothers Charly and Tika. However, like so many talents, he was denied the opportunity to move up the ranks with the Londoners. His career finally ended in 2020 after working in Belgium, Spain and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Since then, things have become quiet around him; for almost two years, Musonda didn’t even speak up via Instagram. He has now changed that with several emotional posts. In these he looks forward to his apparently impending death. “I only have a few days left,” the Belgian writes wistfully: “I had many people by my side and will always treasure the memories.”

He recapitulates his career in pictures with four posts: Musonda shows himself in a Chelsea jersey alongside Eden Hazard, as an Anderlecht youngster with a gigantic ball bag and surrounded by his family members. He writes: “Life consists of many ups and downs. Nobody really knows the pain you have to deal with.”

The 33-year-old explains that he has had “a few hard and stressful years” behind him. “It is with sadness that I have to inform you that I am having difficulty recovering properly.” The Belgian doesn’t explain exactly what he’s struggling with. He only speaks of the “critical state” of his health: “I’m just fighting to stay alive.”

These dramatic words brought some of his companions into action. Belgium photographer Romelu Lukaku, for example, reports in the comments. “We are with you,” he encourages his compatriot. The former Stuttgart and Hamburg resident Orel Mangala prays for Musonda. And Marina Granovskaia, long-time Chelsea director, writes: “I sincerely hope that you manage to overcome your health problems! I’m thinking of you and your family.”

The multitude of news moves Musonda, as he states in his latest Instagram post. He wants to keep fighting for all his “teammates, teachers, coaches and bus drivers.” “I’m staying strong. Let’s win every day.”
