Nono Koussou was part of a significant success of 1860 Munich in 2018. But now the former offensive player has completely different problems.
A serious blow for a former professional from 1860 Munich: Ex-player Kodjovi “Nono” Koussou was seriously injured in a traffic accident in the Bavarian capital. This is reported by “Bild”. The accident therefore occurred last Monday.
The tabloid further reports: According to the police, the accident occurred at an intersection around 9:17 a.m. A 68-year-old driver wanted to turn left towards the city center, accelerated – and then lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle ended up on the sidewalk and hit Koussou head-on. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The 33-year-old suffered a serious head injury and had to undergo emergency surgery. He was then put into an artificial coma and treated in the intensive care unit for several days.
In the meantime, there is positive news from the former player, who only ended his career in the summer: The “Bild” quotes from a voice message with which Koussou responded to a query from the newspaper: “I’m doing okay so far,” Koussou wrote on Saturday evening. “I’m on the rise again.”
Koussou was part of the 1860 Munich team that achieved promotion from the regional league in 2018. In the relegation game against Saarbrücken, he got an early red card for the opponent. He was trained at, among others, TSV 1860 and FC Bayern. He later also worked as a model and fitness trainer.
