After the release of Sascha Hildmann, Prussia was looking for a new coach. It is now found. It is a former DFB player.

The SC Preussen Münster rely on an internal solution in the fight for relegation. After the separation from coach Sascha Hildmann, the former German international Christian Pander as team boss takes responsibility. He is supported by Kieran Schulze-Marmeling as a trainer and assistant coach Sören Weinfurtner. The club announced this in a message on Monday.

Sports Managing Director Ole Kittner said that “different skills were shown in the constellation”, which would now bring everyone involved in the sense of the common goal.

Christian Pander, born in Münster, is known for his time as a player at Hannover 96 and Schalke 04. He completed a total of 141 Bundesliga games and caused a sensation in 2007 in the DFB test game against England at the Wembley Stadium. It was his only goal in two games for the German selection.

Most recently, Pander headed the football school in Prussia Münster. Kieran Schulze-Marmeling worked as an assistant coach under Hildmann until the end.

Shortly before the end of the season, Münster had released the promotion coach and his team after a 1-1 against Darmstadt. The Westphalia currently occupies 17th place in the 2nd division and are now tied with Ulm, which is on the relegation relegation rank. There are still three games to secure the relegation.
