Since moving to Manchester United, Jadon Sancho has been lagging behind the form from happier days at BVB. Now the young Englishman’s involvement with the Red Devils could even be coming to an end.
As the Italian journalist Rudy Galetti reports on X (formerly Twitter), United recently received an offer for the 23-year-old. An unnamed club from Saudi Arabia made an official offer.
It is not known which club it is and what the general conditions of the proposed deal look like. The offer is currently being examined in Manchester. The personnel is still in motion, it is said.
The winger switched from Borussia Dortmund to the English record champions in the summer of 2021 for around 85 million euros. However, he could not do justice to the huge advance praise there.
In his first season in the Premier League, Sancho only scored six points. Most recently, there were six goals and three Vorlangen in the past season. However, coach Eric ten Hag does not seem completely convinced by the left winger.
Sancho loan to BVB was an issue
During the summer transfer window, there were many farewell rumors about the former shooting star. Even a loan to BVB was discussed as a possible way out. Ultimately, however, this did not happen.
The situation has not calmed down since then. Rather, there was a huge crash recently between Sancho and ten Hag. The Dutch coach dropped his protégé from the squad for the game against Arsenal at the weekend because of poor training performance.
But he went on to counterattack and publicly criticized his coach. “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say completely untrue things, I behaved very well in training this week,” wrote the 23-year-old on X. He was “a scapegoat for a long time, which is not fair,” said the ex-BVB star.
