“Fake News”: Ex-BVB professional defends himself against rumors

Things are going well for Christian Pulisic in terms of sport. In private, an alleged romance with a Hollywood star recently dominated the headlines. Now the ex-BVB professional reacted.
Former Dortmund football professional Christian Pulisic has commented on the speculation about an alleged romance with US actress Sydney Sweeney – and clearly contradicted them. In his Instagram story, the Milan professional asked not to make up stories about his private life.
Pulisic was in the starting line-up in AC Milan’s 3-0 win against Hellas Verona on Sunday evening and scored the important 1-0 for the second-placed Serie A team. After the game, he spoke out on social media. Without mentioning Sweeney by name, he wrote: “Please stop with the made-up stories about my personal life.” He demanded: “The sources must be held accountable because they can influence people’s lives.”
The “Gazzetta dello Sport” and the blog “DNA da Bomber”, among others, had previously reported on a possible connection between the 27-year-old US international and the Hollywood actress, who is one year older. The US international reacted clearly to a corresponding post on the Instagram channel “Motivatingsport”, commenting: “Fake news, people. Stop these stupid rumors.”
Pulisic has been in a relationship with golfer Alexa Melton since 2024. He last published a photo with her in June. You can see it: both of them arm in arm on a trip.
Sweeney, best known for her roles in the Netflix series “Everything Sucks!” and became known in the HBO production “Euphoria”, was recently seen several times with music producer Scooter Braun. For example, kissing while walking in New York in November, later together in Florida and at the screening of their new film “The Housemaid” in Los Angeles in mid-December.
