Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.
Around three years after his farewell to HSV, the former board member Thomas Wüstefeld is again active in professional football. The 56-year-old has been working as President of the first division club KF Drenica in Kosovo since the summer. Vice President is the Augsburg restaurateur Faton Seferi. Both are also owners of the association as investors. The first division promoted is currently in fourth place after seven match days.
At the end of November 2021, Wüstefeld was already sitting on the HSV supervisory board – and was appointed head of the body. In January 2022, the entrepreneur rose to the CFO within a few weeks. In Wüstefeld term, among other things, the deal with the new main sponsor Hansemerkur, the stadium renovation, but also allegations of fraud and an internal power struggle fell.
For around 200 million euros, he wanted to have an “HSV Tower” built in addition to the Volksparkstadion and a plaza for more than 12,000 people. Read more about this here. This no longer happened: In September 2022, the then 54-year-old gave up his post at the HSV.
Bitter setback for Hamburger SV: Center defender Warmed Omari has seriously injured and fails until the winter break. The 25 -year -old newcomer contracted an outdoor band tear with syndesmosis participation on Sunday at 0-0 at Union Berlin and has to pause for weeks. So far, Omari had been used in all six competitive games of the promoted team.
Fabio Vieira (25) also has to step shorter for the time being: the Portuguese suffered knee immersion against Union Berlin. Because of his red bersion, Vieira fails in the games against Mainz 05 on Sunday (5:30 p.m./DAZN) and at RB Leipzig (October 18, 3:30 p.m./Sky, DAZN).
Two former HSV bosses are apparently on the slip of a competitor from the Bundesliga. Ex-sports director Jonas Boldt (42) is traded for the successor of Roland Virkus near Borussia Mönchengladbach. Nils-Ole Book (39), currently sporting director of SV Elversberg, and Gladbach’s director Scouting Steffen Korell (53) are therefore possible candidates. The race for the post is still open, there have been no conversations.
