Lung embolism: ex-Bayern star in the hospital

Luiz Gustavo played in the Bundesliga for ten years. Back in his home country of Brazil, the 37-year-old has now suffered a difficult health blow.
Course for Luiz Gustavo: The former Bundesliga player was admitted to a hospital of the Brazilian metropolis São Paulo on Saturday, and is currently under medical observation. According to this, the midfielder complained about pain in the chest before training on Saturday. A few days earlier, he played through in the Libertadores Cup in the 1-0 away win against Ca Talleres in Córdoba.
Between 2007 and 2017, Gustavo was active in the Bundesliga. In the summer of 2007 he initially came to TSG Hoffenheim on a loan, rose to the Bundesliga with the club and switched to Bayern in winter 2011. He stayed there for two and a half years. He then played at VfL Wolfsburg from 2013 – with 109 missions, he played most of his 245 Bundesliga games there. In 2017 he left Germany.
