After promotion last summer, Anas Ouahim is leaving Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo and joining Moldovan record champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol on a one-year loan deal, who also secured a purchase option. In Moldova the transfer window is open until March 14th. The former Osnabrück and Lauterer player is tied to Heracles until the summer of 2025, for whom he was directly involved in 19 goals in 61 games.

The Leverkusen native moved from SV Sandhausen to Almelo in January 2022. After an injury at the beginning of the year, Ouahim lost his starting place under new coach Erwin van de Looi. “It is a very difficult decision to leave Heracles Almelo,” said Ouahim. “Every player wants to play and me too. But the new coach, for whom I have great respect, chooses different players and I have to accept that. Leaving is the best decision for me in the current situation.” Behind teammate Cristian Tovar (25), Ouahim will be the second most valuable player in the Super League with a market value of 700,000 euros.
