“I remember sending a photo of that Labrador to my wife. Everything after that is gone.” Dagmar Bernaers (49) from Overijse crawled through the eye of the needle after he suffered a cardiac arrest two weeks ago while jogging in the Sonian Forest. He was in a coma for three days. He thanks ultrarunner Frank ‘De Tank’ Gielen (46) from Erps-Kwerps that he survived. One remembers everything, the other almost nothing. They now want to send an important message with their story. “There is only one reason why I am still doing so well.”
