Evert Santegoeds finds the Eloise hugging from his colleague Dyantha Brooks really very misplaced, he shows. “To keep saying ‘she’s still a girl’. She’s 23 and already graduated!”
Countess Eloise is receiving a lot of criticism because she organized a ‘watch party’ for a program about slavery in which her mother Princess Laurentien starred. Dyantha Brooks, who is friends with Eloise’s good friend Robbert Rodenburg, thinks the criticism is exaggerated. “She is very young, isn’t she?” she says. “She’s a girl.”
Girl of 23
Private boss Evert Santegoeds finds it laughable that his Shownieuws colleague Dyantha still portrays the countess as someone who is said to be incompetent because of her age. “She is simply a young woman who is also considered capable of becoming queen. She is fifth or so in the line of succession to the throne.”
He continues in the podcast Strictly Private: “To call her ‘a 23-year-old girl’ is going a bit too far for me. She just said stupid things and acted stupidly.”
Magnifying glass
Dyantha thinks that Eloise is very much under the magnifying glass of the media. Evert says about this: “She is not under a magnifying glass, no, she deliberately lay under a magnifying glass. If you make a slip, you just have to sit on the blisters and that is what she does.”
He concludes: “It’s all so disconnected from reality. Countess influencer, yes, that’s what you become, that’s what you choose. Then you can say: the rest, you don’t choose that, but it does give you a lot of pleasures. And when people now say: ‘Yes, that girl…’ She is 23 and graduated!”
