European Championships: Krafzik and Preis survive 400m hurdles heats

At the start of the 3rd day of the European Athletics Championships, two out of four German athletes survived the heats over 400 meters hurdles.

Carolina Krafzik won the second of three heats in Munich’s Olympic Stadium in 54.32 seconds – a personal best for the girl from Sindelfingen and the fifth best time of the year in Europe.

On the other hand, Eileen Demes (57.11) and Gisele Wender (57.11) were eliminated. Constantin Preis also continued as the winner, setting his best performance of the season with 49.63.
