La Dea has never faced Leverkusen, who have won only once against the Italians

In the last five Serie A matches, the Goddess has won only one victory, then three defeats and one draw. Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen have never faced each other in European competitions. La Dea won only one of the four matches against German teams (2N, 1P): success came against Cologne in the first knockout round of the Uefa Cup 90-91. In Bergamo she is still unbeaten: in addition to Cologne, there was a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League in 2018. Seoane’s men have achieved only one success in the previous 10 European away matches against Italian teams (3N, 6P) : ko in all the last three. The only success came in November ’99 against Udinese in the Uefa Cup. Muriel and his teammates have never lost a home match in the Europa League (6W, 4N). Only three defeats in the 20 total challenges. The numbers of the Germans are not encouraging: Bayer have lost three games in a row in the knockout stage of EL. The last time it did worse it came to four defeats between 2010 and 2013. But the Germans are the second team with more shots on target in this edition of the competition (49), behind Napoli (52), with two fewer games played.
