Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are currently on an official visit to Australia. From there, their journey continues to New Zealand.

The couple’s children, Princess Estelle, 10, and Prince Oscar, 6, on the other hand, are at home in Sweden.

Victoria tells Sveskdam magazine that she has somewhat conflicting thoughts about being apart from children.

– The situation is as it is. I know the kids are fine, but it’s hard to be apart from them.

– Children’s everyday life at home goes on as normal, says Victoria from Australia.

Victoria and Daniel keep in touch with their offspring via video calls, but the time difference brings its own challenges to contact. They also know that children are jealous of their parents’ trip:

– They ask if they can join next time. We have told here about our experiences, the national park, the marsupials and others.

Oscar and Estelle live a normal everyday life in Stockholm, although the parents are in Australia. PDO

Victoria has already revealed that she talks about her travel experiences to her children. He considers it important that children know things from different corners of the world, including the sadder parts.

– It is good for them to learn that countries and cultures are different, Victoria has said.

Even King Kaarle Kustaa and Queen Silvia told Victoria about the countries they visited when she was little.

– It increased my understanding of what father and mother did when they were gone, Victoria has said.

This is what it looked like in 2017 when Victoria turned 40.
