Esprit promotes Americas boss Anthony Strippoli to the management team

Hong Kong-based clothing retailer Esprit Holdings Ltd. has expanded its leadership team. On Tuesday, the company announced the appointment of Anthony Strippoli as executive director. The 50-year-old will also join the General Committee of the Board of Directors with immediate effect, according to a statement.

As Chief Operating Officer, Americas, the experienced textile manager is, according to the company, responsible for “the strategic growth and operational expansion of the Esprit brand in North America” and also leads the collaboration with partner companies in South America. With the promotion, the clothing supplier is sharpening its “future focus on the US consumer goods market,” explained Esprit. This realignment is intended, in particular, to compensate for the ongoing weakness of the German market.

Strippoli has many years of experience in the textile and retail industry. Before moving to Esprit last year, he worked at the clothing group G-III Apparel Group as VP of Sales for the licensed brand Calvin Klein Jeans. Before that, he held, among other things, management positions in the North American business of the labels Scotch & Soda and Diesel. Further career stages included the brands J Brand and Bally as well as the Saks Fifth Avenue retail chain.
