The lynx that escaped from Eindhoven Zoo on Tuesday afternoon is not yet justified. Every now and then the zoo receives reports that the young animal has been seen in the area there, but does not get the Lynx yet. There were also reports on Wednesday morning, so we are looking for further.

De Lynx, less than a year old, managed to escape from the zoo around two o’clock on Tuesday. According to the spokesperson, the Lynx himself made a gap in his stay. “He probably saw a pigeon on the other side of the cage and in his attempt to get hold of it, he worked through the mesh,” she explains on Wednesday morning.

Employees of the zoo and the police have searched for the animal, but did not get him. In the meantime catch cages have also been turned off.

After report immediately on the road
So the search will continue on Wednesday. “If we get a notification, we go there immediately and we look for the area. But when we arrive there, he is always gone,” says the spokesperson. “Today we had new reports, so we are looking again.”

It is an animal less than a year old. It is therefore expected that the animal will eventually want to return to his mother, who is still in the zoo.

Do not approach yourself
According to Eindhoven Zoo, the animal is slightly larger than a hefty hangover and the black flosses have on top of the ears. The lynx is shy and not dangerous, but it is a predator. People who see the lynx are called upon to call 112 and not try to catch the animal themselves.
