Actually had ESC-Zampano Stefan Raab awakened big expectations for the ESC 2025. Germany went into the race with Abor & Tynna and the song “Baller” – the preliminary decision was largely responsible for Raab. In the end, however, only one other place jumped out again: 15th place. That the entertainer, who won the ESC with his then protégé Lena Meyer-Landrut in 2010, is obvious.

Raab: “I take responsibility”

In the ARD interview, the TV legend commented on the result. Raab put the bad result on his cap. “I take responsibility. Of course, I always promise that we win, until the opposite has been proven-that’s the best thing you can do. Otherwise you don’t need to go anywhere, the 58-year-old.

ESC 2025: Did Stefan Raab distant?

In general, it seemed as if Raab wanted to distance himself. In spring he had presented Abor & Tynna as a new German hope wearer-with the backing of ARD and RTL. In the meantime, however, his commitment has a much more reserved effect. On Swiss television, Raab had explained soberly before the final: “This time I did not participate in production or composition. Abor & Tynna as a German ESC hope I only gave tips and told you which song you should take.” For many it sounded back.

Stefan Raab’s ESC story

Raab has long been an ESC veteran. In total, he was involved in six German contributions – as a composer, producer, moderator or mentor. From Guildo Horn to Lena Meyer-Landrut to Abor & Tynna, he shaped Germany’s ESC history. In 2000 he took part as a act – with the song “Wadde Hadde Dudde?” And reached the 5th place.

ESC 2025 – the result

For Germany, the ESC 2025 ended soberly: Abor & Tynna took 15th place with her song “Baller”. Austria won the victory – eleven years after Conchita Wurst – with JJ and the title “Wasted Love”. With 436 points, the singer clearly prevailed against Israel (357 points) and Estonia (356 points).
