Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen have released their new duet “I Can’t Love You Anymore.”
The two performed the song live for the first time at the April 18 stop of Wallen’s Still the Problem Tour in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. “Ella wrote this song and sent it to me about a month ago – I loved it straight away,” Wallen told the audience from the stage.
Langley opens the track before Wallen joins in on the yearning chorus: “I can’t love you anymore/ Can’t keep chasing you around in the back of my mind/ I can’t need you anymore I’m sitting in this bed with your ghost every night.”
Teaser in the music video
Earlier this month, the “Dandelion” singer hinted at the new duet in the star-studded music video for her acclaimed single “Choosin’ Texas.” After her character falls out with a cowboy (played by Luke Grimes), Langley accepts a ride back to Tennessee from a detached country singer who has seen it all (Miranda Lambert). As Langley climbs into the dusty Chevy Gladiator, the license plate reveals the acronym of the duet single: “ICLYA.”
Langley makes her Stagecoach debut on Friday, April 24th and is also announced for this year’s CMA Fest, June 4th-7th at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. This spring and summer, Langley will join Wallen in arenas and festivals in California and Kentucky; In May, the Alabama songwriter will launch her “Dandelion” headlining tour in support of her newly released album.
