The Transfermarkt community rewarded FC Bayern’s show of force against Borussia Dortmund with five nominations for the team of the match day. In the user voting, three-packer Harry Kane (94.17 percent) collected the most votes. Dayot Upamecano (83.33 percent), who started the convincing 4-0 with a header, and the two-time assist provider Leroy Sané (71.67 percent) also received high approval ratings.
The Bayern field is completed by Upamecano’s partner Min-jae Kim (36.67 percent) and Leon Goretzka (39.17 percent), who gave a top performance despite breaking his hand. Coach Thomas Tuchel was also elected to the sidelines with 25 percent.
The second strongest force in the selection of TM users is Bayer Leverkusen, which has three players – with Alejandro Grimaldo also the player who received the second most votes with 85.0 percent. The left-back scored a brace in the 3-2 win at TSG Hoffenheim and equaled his career high with five goals. He had also scored five goals in each of the last two years, but over the entire season. In addition to Grimaldo, the currently brilliant Florian Wirtz (60.83 percent) and right-back Jeremie Frimpong (26.67 percent) also recommended themselves for the top eleven.
The team is completed by Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush (53.33 percent), VfL Bochum’s Takuma Asano (36.67 percent) and FC Augsburg’s Finn Dahmen (23.33 percent). The goalkeeper made ten saves at 1. FC Köln and saved the Fuggerstadt team a point. Marmoush and Asano each scored twice in their games. The Japanese secured Bochum’s first win of the season, while the Egyptian, with six goals in the league, already scored more goals than ever in an entire season. There are a total of six goalscorers in the matchday team, who celebrated a total of eleven goals.
