Faced with “incredible demand” Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have added eleven dates to their first tour since the death of Neil Peart. The “Fifty Something Tour” will be twice as long as originally planned. Rush fans just recovering from the surprise of the band returning to tour in 2026 are having to adjust their plans again: Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced that they are scheduling 11 additional shows due to popular demand. European or German dates have not yet been set.

The new dates include two additional concerts in Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York and Toronto, as well as an additional concert in Cleveland. Mexico City sticks with a show. Rush will now play four concerts in each of the five largest US and Canadian cities, and two in Cleveland. It is the first full concert series by Lee and Lifeson since the end of the last Rush tour in 2015. German virtuoso Anika Nilles will be heard on drums. Each “Evening with” concert consists of two sets, compiled from a repertoire of 35 songs.

At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event where Rush announced their return, Lee explained that the turning point came during impromptu jam sessions: “We laughed so much and had so much fun – it was almost like these songs drove away the dark clouds,” he said. Lifeson described how the challenging material reinvigorated him: “To take on this challenge again was incredibly exciting,” he told the Cleveland audience. “The more we rehearsed and played, the more I fell in love with the idea of performing again.” The tour starts on June 7, 2026 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles – the venue where Rush played their last concert with Peart on August 1, 2015. Advance sales for artist fans begin on Monday, general sales on October 17th.
