How wrong it is to even weigh yourself during the holidays”, writes one user while another observes that “for many girls with body dysmorphia the holidays are a difficult time.” On the other side of the social barricade, however, there are those who defend the message. “You passed them on to us”, someone jokes. “Beautiful”, writes another succinctly. And again: “A person can’t even be self-deprecating about themselves. To educate and treat, there are specialists and the family, not social media“.

Following the reaction of users, Elettra Lamborghini decided to publish response stories to explain its point of view. “I didn’t think I’d cause all this,” he begins. “Today nothing can be said anymore. People who are well play on irony, they don’t need to point fingers. I’ve always been told that I’m chubby, but in reality I think I have the ideal weight. I’m also training for Sanremo.” And again: “By acting like this we fuel hatred and create great confusion when people really have problems. I am not a psychologist, people who want to follow positive examples, they shouldn’t look for them on social media“.
