MT Melsungen achieved its third victory in the third game in the European League. However, the North Hessians had more trouble than expected with Ferencvaros Budapest.
MT Melsungen achieved a 33:27 (15:15) home win against Ferencvaros Budapest. It was the third success in the third European League game of the season for coach Roberto Garcia Parrondo’s team.
However, the North Hessians only found their way into the game late. A good five minutes had already passed and the scoreboard read 5-0 for the guests. However, the MT worked its way back painstakingly and was able to go into the break with a tie (15:15).
Things only became clear after the break
In the second half, too, the Hungarians initially interpreted their role as outsiders very confidently. With a five-goal run, Melsungen was able to break away decisively and ultimately achieve a clear victory. The most successful thrower was Arnar Freyr Arnarsson with six goals. MT is at the top of Group E with six points.
