The Egmond half marathon is taking place for the 51st time and in recent years it has been held as standard on the second Sunday of January. The first edition was on March 11, 1973.
Last year, Samuel Barata from Portugal crossed the finish line first among the men. The Ethiopian Port of Hailu recorded the fastest time among the women. A Dutch athlete last stood on the highest step of the podium in 2024. Lucas Nieuweboer, born in Heemsteden, rose above himself that day.
The start is at 12.16 pm and NH will once again report live this year. The broadcast on television and on the site starts at 12 noon and continues until 2.30 pm.
