E403: lane closed for months, works have yet to start

In February this year, the right-hand lane was closed for a distance of 5 kilometers between Moorsele and Roeselare. This is in preparation for the necessary repairs. But in the meantime nothing has happened there for 8 weeks.

No award procedure

The repair works on the highway were planned this spring, but the award procedure is taking longer than expected, the Roads and Traffic Agency said. A contractor has yet to be found for the project. The agency hopes to complete this by the end of August, at the end of the construction leave.
