Ex-Union goalkeeper self-critical

After stays with Kaiserslautern, Leverkusen, Brann, Union Berlin, Osnabrück, Braunschweig and Fürth, Lennart Grill has now reached Dynamo Dresden. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, whom Bayer 04 cost 2 million euros five years ago, would like to permanently win ground under his feet at the second division promoted.
“First of all, you have to realize yourself that the only expectations that count that are those that you have in yourself,” said the now 26-year-old according to the “picture”. In the meantime, the goalkeeper has sufficiently experienced what it means to have to deal with pressure. “You may have to learn that first, now I have this experience. In retrospect, you could have said that more game practice in the whole young age would have made more sense.”
So far there are only ten Bundesliga and 27 second division operations in Grills Vita, plus 51 games for the FCK in the 3rd division- for a professional who celebrates his 27th birthday in January, no outstanding quota. Dynamo is a number of professionals eight, the former junior national goalkeeper has not yet become at home.
“There is nicer. You can no longer undo it. In retrospect, you might have solved some things differently. Nevertheless, it brought me here. Even if it doesn’t run 100 %, it makes you stronger in the end. For the character, it is not bad to get to know new people,” said Grill, who initially did not make any demands to be number one immediately. Between the posts he competes with Tim Schreiber (23).
As a professional of Union Berlin, he was awarded three times, even five times during his entire career. “The goal was to be firmly at a club again. The most important thing is to arrive somewhere again,” said Grill. “No more a goalkeeper coach can surprise me. There is nothing that I have not seen yet. And more strenuous than with Gerry Ehrmann (FCK goalkeeper trainer legend; i.e. Red.”
