Ex-Bayern talent Oliver Batista Meier and Dynamo Dresden could part ways again in January after a year. The 21-year-old ex-DFB junior has fallen behind at SGD, the right winger has only made four short appearances over a total of 40 minutes in the 3rd division. Coach Markus Beginning reveals a lack of attitude during the week for his choice on the offensive.
“If he came in in the games, it was basically okay. But after the training sessions, we often made different decisions because others in his position performed better,” explained the 48-year-old in an interview with the “picture“. Beginning would not stand in the way of a change request from Batista Meier, who is still tied until 2025, in winter.

“If he sees it that way, then he can come to us. We used 31 players. In the end, everyone got their seasons. Oli is a very big talent. But he has to see that he gets out of the talent status and asserts himself,” said Beginning, who also commented on the training performance of his offensive colleague Jan Shcherbakovski (21).
“I don’t leave anyone at home because I say I don’t like them. Every player has the chance to recommend himself in training,” said the Dynamo coach. Shcherbakovski is also under contract in Dresden until 2025 and only played once for 45 minutes in the 3rd division.
