The second division soccer team Dynamo Dresden, which is in serious danger of relegation, has secured the services of offensive player Jason Ceka for the second half of the season.

The 25-year-old is moving from the top second division team SV Elversberg to the bottom of the table on loan until the end of the season. The two clubs announced this on Monday.

For the second-place team from Elversberg, Ceka has not progressed beyond the joker role this season, with seven short appearances and one goal to his name. He last played in a competitive game at the end of October.

In Dresden, Ceka should now gain match practice again and “further increase the goal threat in the upcoming second half of the season,” as managing director Stephan Zimmermann explained.

In total, Ceka has made 61 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga so far, in which he scored seven goals and prepared 17 more. Last summer he moved from 1. FC Magdeburg to Elversberg.
