A 25-year-old Dutchman was the only suspect for the short tradition procedure. As a result, he was the only one who was already transferred to Belgium earlier this week. After interrogation, the twenties was arrested by the Bruges investigating judge on suspicion of attempted murder.
The suspect would not have fired himself, but would rely on his right to remain silent. Further research will have to bring more clarity about his precise share in the facts.
The council chamber keeps him in jail for a month longer.
