The fatal shooting took place December last year. The 25-year-old man would have been killed with several shots at night, including one in his head, the National Police announced at the time. De Zwollenaar died on the spot, on the popular boulevard, near a coffee shop.

On the crime scene, the police found the suspected weapon under a car, an automatic machine gun. A salvo would have been fired at the man, which resulted in a lot of damage to surrounding buildings.

According to the Spanish police, the Dutch woman who has now been arrested is part of the ‘Mocromaffia’. She would be responsible for the purchase and transport of weapons that were then taken to the Costa del Sol.

Given the origin of the man who was murdered in Fuengirola last December, there was little doubt about the Mocromaffia returning to Spain. The Dutchman was shot at several times, including once in the head, for a cannabis club.

The Mocromaffia has returned

Police Commissioner Agudo

The police on the Spanish coast see a revival of violence between mainly Dutch criminals. After it was quieter for a while, the number of crimes is increasing again. This leads to the conclusion of the Spanish police that “the Mocromaffia has returned to the region,” said Commissioner of the Provincial Court of Judicial Police Brigade, Pedro Agudo.

Not only Dutch people are victims of the renewed violence between criminal gangs. Recently there was also a double liquidation on two Scots in an Irish restaurant in Fuengirola, on 31 May, not far from the location where the Dutchman was also killed.
