Driver under the influence crashes into a facade with his pick-up in Sint-Juliaan: “Burglars? Fire? Until a ‘monster’ appeared to have driven in”

In the West Flemish Sint-Juliaan, a hamlet of Langemark-Poelkapelle, a car drove into the facade of a house in the early morning on Saturday. The vehicle also hit a speed camera and an electrical box. The damage to the house is extensive. The driver – who was under the influence of alcohol – was not injured, but had to surrender his driver’s license. “At first I thought there were burglars in our house,” said resident Jari Carpentier (28).
