A truck ended up in the crash barrier on the A7 before Hoorn this morning around 8.45 am. The driver of the truck may have become unwell and died.
Many emergency services responded to the report. The air ambulance landed on the road surface. A police spokesperson said the driver has sadly passed away.
The incident caused a short traffic jam because the truck also had to be towed away. Due to the Christmas holidays, there was not such a busy morning rush hour.
