The “Club” at VfL Bochum despairs for a long time. The hosts then put a remarkable individual campaign. It stays – until it becomes wild again shortly before the end.

The 1. FC Nürnberg can still win: In the top game of the 2nd Bundesliga against VfL Bochum, the Franks won 2-1 (0-0) on Saturday evening and thus celebrated the first three of the season on the sixth matchday.

Julian Justvan had given the Franks in the lead with a remarkable individual campaign (68th), in the final phase Bochum was able to equalize by Ibrahim Sissoko (87th, foulfmeter) before Adriano Grimaldi (90-+2) still shaken the Nuremberg stadium. Due to the first win of the season, the team of the recently heavily struck trainer Miroslav Klose also leaves the last place in the table and climbs past Bochum in 16th place. Klose will now be able to take a deep breath.

Bundesliga relegated Bochum, on the other hand, also disappointed with interim coach David Siebers across the board and has to prepare for the next fight for relegation after the fourth bankruptcy in a row.

Klose and the “Club” cheered too early: After a header from Captain Fabio Gruber, the coach screamed his relief, his players hugged – but according to video evidence, the supposed 1-0 was collected again because the scorer had been offside (32nd). In the first half, the Nurembergers had a clear increase in opportunities towards the Bochumers, which developed little offensive power in the first game after Hecking.

After the break, the hosts increased the pressure, VfL keeper Timo Horn was increasingly focused on. But when Justvan then fled the ball into the net, Klose was finally happy. But then he was annoyed when the equalizer fell in the final phase. In the end, however, he was allowed to cheer.
