Dörnbach defends German title over 1000 meters

Maximilian Dörnbach from the Track Team Brandenburg successfully defended his title in the 1000 meter time trial at the German Track Cycling Championships in Cottbus.

The man from Cottbus won in 1:02.144 minutes ahead of Willy Weinrich (TSV Breitenworbis/1:02.517) and Marc Jurcyzk (Turbine Erfurt/1:02.889). In the women’s team sprint, Track Team Brandenburg won with multiple world champions Pauline Grabosch, Emma Hinze and Lea Sophie Friedrich and also defended the title as expected.

In the women’s team pursuit, a mixed team led by team Olympic champion Franziska Brauße from Eningen was fastest. In the men’s category, the rad-net Osswald team around individual champion Nicolas Heinrich continued its winning streak. As in the past, the team competitions were sparsely populated.
