US president Donald Trump On Thursday, he said he wanted to organize a free match organization UFC’s match in the White House area.
The event is scheduled to be part of the 250th anniversary of US independence next year.
According to CNN White house secretary Karoline Leavitt has confirmed the plans and said the president is “completely serious”. The UFC also confirmed that discussions were ongoing.
Trump is known to have a long-term connection to the UFC organization and its CEO Dana whitie.
Trump and White have been friends since at least 2001, when Trump offered to help White by hosting a UFC match in Trump Taj Mahal at Atlantic City.
White has since become Trump’s prominent support person. Among other things, he introduced Trump’s Republican party meeting last July.
Trump has visited UFC events. The president sitting at the Miami event in April made an entry with White, which is usually reserved for athletes only.
