Donald Trump shows up with Melania at the club World Cup final

The final of the club World Cup was kicked off in New Jersey on Sunday. Also in the stands: Donald Trump and his wife Melania.
More than 70,000 spectators were expected to end the club World Cup between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC. Among them also US President Trump and his wife Melania. This led around the stadium in East Rutherford near New York for considerably tightened security measures. A large contingent of the police and the Secret Service was in action. Behind the safety locks in the stadium were sometimes also heavily armed emergency services with machine guns.
In contrast to the two semi -finals, which had also been played in the Metlife Stadium, the media representatives at their entrance were no longer controlled by volunteer, so -called volunteers. Rather, they had to be checked by real security forces. Cameral and photographers also had to open their complete equipment. It was searched intensively.
In the stadium, the presidential couple followed the game together with FIFA President Gianni Infatino and his wife Leena Al Ashqar, a Lebanesin with which the Swiss have four children.
In honor of the host country, the United States’s national anthem was played, accompanied by an honorary formation. Trump held his right hand for a military greeting. Robbie Williams also performed with the Italian pop singer Laura Pausini before kick-off. Together they sang the FIFA anthem “Desire”.
