  • The 13 resignations of the national secretariat accuse the president of the entity of “abuse of power”

The president of the ANC, Dolors Feliu, ha ruled out resign and has recognized that the lack of agreement with the civic list It has been one of the triggers for the schism that the entity is experiencing. “There is no agreement and it is one of the underlying ideological issues. There are people who do not see it clearly within the ANC and there is that tension,” Feliu assured in an interview this Sunday on Catalunya Ràdio, the day after the crisis after the departure of the vice-president, Jordi Pesarrodona, and the resignation of 13 members of the National Secretariat. “Yesterday there was a lot of debate, many proposals were made and an attempt was made to redirect the issue, but unfortunately some had already made the decision to fold”, Feliu continued.

“The ANC is truly an assembly and sometimes it is difficult to accept the votes, especially when you lose them,” Feliu maintained. “A reflection was made that had a lot of consensus, very relevant resolutions were promoted with large majorities, but it was not enough,” insisted the president of the ANC, who has once again talked about resignations “agreed before the plenary session.” “There are people who only see the pros of the civic list and others who only see the cons. There is also that same discussion in society,” said Feliu, who has denied that former President Elisenda Paluzie is “in command in the shadows.” “In the Assembly no one is in charge.”

“Paluzie carries out the international work of the Assembly, she is affected by the Pegasus issue and is a person who always helps, with a respectful tone and we are very grateful to her,” said Feliu, who also denied that the ANC had ceased to be a cohesion tool of the independence movement. “What happens in the ANC is a reflection of what is happening within society and within the independence movement. As we are transversal, there are these intensities, passions and divergences,” reflected the president of the Assembly.

On the other hand, the outgoing vice president of the ANC, Jordi Pesarrodona, stated in an interview on 8TV that “sometimes there are too many egos to overcome.” Pesarrodona argued that he tried to act as a “mediator” between the two blocks of the entity, but that he did not succeed.
