This is the poignant moment when Ahmet Ayyan sees his daughter Gada (4) again after the earthquake in Turkish Adana. Ahmet lost his wife and son in the disaster, but held strong for his daughter. For four days they were trapped together in the rubble, Ahmet even up to his neck. “My daughter told me, ‘Daddy, don’t cry. Be calm. They’re coming to save us.” After their liberation, they were separated from each other, and Ahmet did not know where his baby was for four days.
