The 1. FC Heidenheim, VfL Bochum and Holstein Kiel still have the prospect of keeping the class with a historically low score this season. FC St. Pauli and TSG Hoffenheim can also get off the Bundesliga, but both teams exceeded the score of 27 the past weekend. Despite this lean yield, Hamburger SV had succeeded in not having to go to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2013/14 season-a bizarre, although not exactly beautiful record in the German Oberhaus since the introduction of the three-point rule (1995/96).
A nightmare finish under coach Mirko Slomka had given HSV five defeats from the last five games at the time. Nevertheless, the red pants did not slip on a direct relegation zone, because behind it the 1st FC Nürnberg even missed his last seven games and the dotten weakest was 17. Again, there were no counters for the bottom of the table Eintracht Braunschweig in the last five games. VfB Stuttgart 2018/19 was 28 points with 28 points that completed a season with fewer than 30 points since the three-point rule, such as the HSV and still landed in the relegation. In the relegation, however, the Swabians ended against Union Berlin.
Heidenheim 5 points behind low value – also a record for direct whereabouts still possible
In the current season there are five game days before the 1st FC Heidenheim is on the relegation relegation site and currently has 22 points in the account. If the FCH would only get five points or less from now on, come to the relegation and prevail there, the HSV record would be cracked. For VfL Bochum and Holstein Kiel, seven or nine points from the last five games are missing from the Hamburg minus record, in which the HSV, as described above, was missing nothing countable in 2024.
For all three teams – as well as for St. Pauli and Hoffenheim – the direct relegation with the lowest number of points ever achieved is possible. Borussia Mönchengladbach has been holding this record (three-point rule) since 2009, which at that time escaped the relegation that has just been introduced again. The foals won 31 points at the time. It is still the weakest yield of a table 15. St. Pauli would already exceed this brand with another victory. Hoffenheim is only one point behind the Gladbach result from 2009.
