Min-jae Kim from SSC Napoli is about to move to Bayern Munich. The transfer of the defender is probably on the home straight.

According to “Sky”, FC Bayern team doctors arrived in South Korea on Wednesday evening to complete the medical check with Kim. This should be finalized on Thursday. The 26-year-old central defender is currently doing military service in his home country.

FC Bayern pays 50 million euros to Napoli for Kim. The Italian champions make use of an opt-out clause. In Munich, the national player should sign a long-term contract until 2028 and collect around twelve million euros a year.

The German record champion wants to finance the Kim transfer with the sale of Lucas Hernández. The Frenchman is facing a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Including all bonus payments, the Munich team can expect 50 million euros to sell the 2018 world champion.

Hernández is said to have already completed the medical check at PSG. An official confirmation of the change is still pending.

Kim would be FC Bayern’s third new signing for the coming season. So far, Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig) and Raphael Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund) have found their way to the Bavarian capital in the current transfer period.

The contracts of the two professionals at their ex-clubs expired. So no transfer fees were due for them.

Will Walker also come to Bayern?

In addition to Kim, another defender should come with Kyle Walker. According to the latest information from “Sport Bild”, Munich’s head coach Thomas Tuchel is in direct contact with the 33-year-old Englishman from Manchester City.

However, there has not yet been an agreement with the Premier League club. The treble winner is still insisting on wanting to start the last year of his contract with his right-back.
