Hyundai’s rally team published a video on its YouTube channel in which the drivers, kart drivers and team manager gave each other Christmas presents. The idea was that the person who received the gift had to guess the identity of the sender of the package.

There were enough blue and white tones in the video, as two Finnish couples drove in the team last season: rally drivers Esapekka Lappi and Teemu Suninen and their carters Janne Ferm and Mikko Markkula.

Pieksämäki rally cannon Lappi got a heavy bag in front of him, which the map reader Martijn Wydaeghe had procured for him.

– It’s a women’s bag. Heavy. This is definitely from Martijn, but can he even lift this, Lappi laughs.

The bag contained six bottles of Belgian beer. Although Finns are considered to be beer lovers, this gift did not go down well with Lapland’s reaction.

– Do they think that I like kalja? My map reader is very keen on it.

This way you won’t lose weight

Lapland’s working couple Ferm received a gift from Hyundai’s team manager From Cyril Abiteboul. The map reader was laughed at for not being able to understand his boss’s handwriting at first.

A humorous angle was used in the gift selection, as the package revealed a guidebook that advises how to avoid losing weight.

– Alright. But his handwriting is still crap, Ferm cracks up in front of the camera.

Lappi was Marttinen’s elf and gave him a package of coffee. Ferm packs To Dani Sordo woolen socks and tights.

Sordo cart Candido Carrera complained in the card he wrote to Teemu Suninen that he hasn’t been able to spend time with the Finn in the rally season that ended. Suninen and Sordo shared Hyundai’s third car. Nevertheless, the Spanish carteur knows what Suninen likes.

– Mountain bike shirt! This will definitely come in handy. I’ve had a shortage of sports shirts, Suninen praised.

Suninen donated the slippers to the winner of the championship in the TCR series to Norbert Michelisz.

Hyundai will see less Finnish colors next season. Esapekka Lappi lost the position of the team’s second driver To Ott Tänak and drive selected races in a third car. Suninen’s situation is still open. Suninen, who raced in the main class, was not part of the team’s driver line-up published by the team in December.
