First date at the altar familiar from the program Matti Lepistö says that he applied for therapy. He published a picture on his Instagram account, in connection with which he reveals that talking about his own feelings has been difficult in the past.

– Talking to a professional is always good. Until a few years ago, I was a man who did not speak. I always kept everything inside. Had to endure anything “like a man”. It was a bad path, even destructive for me.

– When I once learned to speak the hard way and thereby structure my thoughts, life may not have become easy right away, but somehow it became more reasonable and lighter than before.

Matti continues that in Finland the idea of crises is often linked to therapy. According to him, men in particular may also have been ashamed of going to therapy. Matti reminds you that you can talk to a professional at times other than “life’s dead ends”.

– For example, I have nothing to worry about at the moment, but there is no harm in talking. A lot has happened in life, it’s good to go through it.

– That’s why I say to all other men: talk and talk. There is nothing shameful or weak about it, he encourages.

Matti says that he got into therapy through the TV program as soon as he asked. He recognizes that this was a huge privilege.

– In Finland, however, we have a huge problem with the fact that there is little access to therapy if there is no money. Beyond access to therapy, mental health services are generally in a bad place in this country. It is shameful for Finland.

At the end of his writing, Matti directs his words to the prime minister’s party, the Congress, and the prime minister For Petteri Orpo.

– Would it be time for you to fulfill your election promise of a therapy guarantee?

Mati’s writing has garnered a lot of praise.
