The network outage at the Máxima MC hospital in Eindhoven and Veldhoven is over. Appointments at the outpatient clinic will resume from half past two on Tuesday, the hospital reports. Operations and treatments have been ‘postponed for the time being’.
The hospital will call patients whose appointments are still canceled on Tuesday. It is still unclear how long operations and treatments have been postponed.
Interference
The hospital was unable to access the electronic patient files due to the malfunction. Hospital care for current patients continued as normal.
According to the hospital, it was not a hack. “It is really a technical problem,” a spokesperson said earlier.
The Máxima MC was already experiencing a telephone disruption on Monday evening. The problems started due to an unknown cause. On Tuesday, the hospital reported a network outage.
